Just south of Overton Park, the 342-acre public green space, popular with runners and dog-loving residents, lies Overton Square. Home to Midtown Memphis' theater district and a hub for entertainment, offers a piano bar crooning to celebrations of opera and the annual Indie Memphis Film Festival. 

The Playhouse on the Square produces an impressive lineup of performances, including Broadway musicals, small plays, and productions adapted from classic films like The Wizard of Oz. Lafayette's Music Room, showcases a range of entertainment from Rock and Soul to Big Band sounds and tribute acts.
