On the sandbar peninsula known as Mud Island, Harbor Town offers diverse housing including upscale homes, apartments, row houses, and single-family homes with scenic views of the Mississippi River, Wolf River Harbor, and the city skyline. Its walkability, human-centric design, and proximity to Downtown make it a sought-after community for young professionals.

Harbor Town has evolved into a thriving community of 3,000+ Memphians, including many St. Jude employees, since its development in the late 1980s. Now a growing and popular place to live, Harbor Town has become a national case study in New Urbanism.

Tree-lined streets connect residents to paved trails, public parks, and children's playgrounds making this walkable community ideal for neighbor interaction. Local businesses, including Cordelia's Market grocery store, a gym, health and dental practices, bars, and restaurants, are just a short stroll away.

Recreation abounds on the island. The Mud Island River Park draws newcomers with its off-leash dog park and a 5,000-seat outdoor amphitheater that delights music lovers. In addition, experience waterside yoga and boating, with a local marina offering slips for rent or purchase.

Food lovers will find many options, from seafood and steaks at Paulette's to burgers, beers, and happy hour deals at Tug's Casual Grill.
