St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Home
Located in the Riverside neighborhood just south of Downtown Memphis, Martin Luther King Jr. Riverside Park offers ample parking and a variety of spaces for active and passive recreation, from tennis courts and walking trails to a nine-hole public golf course, The Links at Riverside.
On Sundays during the spring, summer and fall, the community often comes together at MLK Park, as it’s known locally, to grill out, picnic by the scenic McKellar Lake and enjoy the scenery.
The city park spans 379 acres and also includes a fishing pond encircled by a walking trail, children’s playgrounds, a boat ramp and marina.
Riverside Park has a lot of woods, but the 297.32-acre park also has a marina, lake, ballfield, tennis courts, and a 9-hole golf course. Photo © Karen Pulfer Focht

I love music and the free concerts at Overton Park; when I’m there, I feel a sense of belonging—families hanging out together and kids running around.
