White Station is a quirky suburban escape bordered to its north by the beautifully landscaped Memorial Park Cemetery that features the Crystal Shrine Grotto, the only man-made crystal cave in the world, while its southern border is defined by the shopping on Poplar Avenue. Along this main stretch of road, you’ll find Whole Foods, the Fresh Market, and Nordstrom Rack, along with local favorites, Fox Ridge Pizza Bar and Grill and Novel, a combination cafe and bookstore featuring books by local authors. But one of White Station’s most popular features is its high-ranking schools, drawing families to submit transfers and add their names to growing waitlists. U.S. News and World Report ranked White Station High School 25th in Tennessee high schools, while White Station Elementary was ranked 6th in Memphis Shelby County Elementary Schools.
