Situated at the very top of Mississippi, Southaven is a small community that is equally dedicated to athletics as it is to the arts, with an impressive sports complex, and an array of theaters that host major productions and offer summer theater camps and workshops.

Snowden Grove Park is America’s premier youth sports destination and the nation’s largest youth baseball complex with 17 fields, plus Greenbrook Park with eight softball fields. There is also the Southaven Field of Dreams, a mini complex for handicapped and mentally challenged children and adults.

With an amphitheater, an arts council, and a family theater, there is no shortage of arts and culture in Southaven. The DeSoto Family Theatre features performances of classic musicals and plays. Past productions include The Sound of Music, Annie, Little Women, Music Man, and It’s a Wonderful Life.

Strong public schools combined with affordable housing make Southaven a popular city among young families.
